Applications to Change Registered Voting Areas Accepted Until September 7
Ahead of the local government elections, the Election Commission (EC) is allowing voters to apply to change their registered voting areas until September 7. Instructions have already been sent to all upazila and thana election officers, as well as registration officers.
The information was disclosed in a letter signed on Wednesday (September 2) by Nasir Uddin Chowdhury, senior assistant secretary of the Election Commission.
Applications to transfer voter registration following a change of residence must be submitted by September 7. The deadline for the initial processing of submitted applications is September 9, while all applications must be resolved by September 10.
