RUET Sends Seriously Injured Student to Dhaka by Air Ambulance
Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) has sent seriously injured student Rafid Shahriar to a hospital in Dhaka by air ambulance for better treatment.
Following doctors’ advice, he was flown to United Hospital in Dhaka on Thursday afternoon (September 24).
Rafid is a student of the 2021–22 academic session in RUET’s Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
He was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident at Binodpur Bazar at around 9 pm on Wednesday (September 23).
Witnesses said another motorcycle coming from the opposite direction suddenly made a U-turn. While trying to avoid it, Rafid lost control of his motorcycle and was thrown onto the road. His head struck the road divider.
He was quickly taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. He received treatment in Ward 8 of the emergency department and was also taken to the operating theatre for a short time.
