611 Appointed to Education Cadre Through 49th BCS
The government has appointed 611 candidates to the Bangladesh Civil Service General Education Cadre through the 49th Special BCS examination.
The Ministry of Public Administration announced the appointments in an official notification issued on Wednesday (September 30).
The newly appointed officers have been instructed to join their designated offices under the Secondary and Higher Education Division by October 12.
If they receive no further instructions from the division, they must report to the relevant ministry on that date. Anyone who fails to join by the deadline will be considered unwilling to accept the position, and their appointment will be cancelled.
The candidates were appointed to entry-level posts in the General Education Cadre following a recommendation made by the Bangladesh Public Service Commission on November 27, 2025.
Under the National Pay Scale 2026, they will receive salaries ranging from 44,000 to 105,900 taka.
The appointment conditions also require them to complete foundation training at the Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre or another government-approved training institution.
