Uranium Arrives at Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant
A convoy carrying uranium has arrived at the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant under tight security.
The convoy of three lorries reached the project site in Ishwardi, Pabna, at around 12:30 pm on Saturday (October 3).
It had left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for Rooppur at around 7:15 am. Alongside the army, members of the Special Response Battalion (SRB), police, and various intelligence agencies provided security for the convoy.
A special aircraft carrying the uranium landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at around 11:30 pm on Friday. Officials from the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Regulatory Authority later received the shipment.
