Bus Overturns After Hitting Mahindra and CNG Auto-Rickshaw; Two Killed
Two passengers were killed and six others injured after a bus struck a Mahindra three-wheeler and a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw in Trishal upazila of Mymensingh.
After hitting the two vehicles, the bus crashed into the boundary wall of Pacific Ideal High School beside the highway and overturned.
The accident occurred at around 8:30 am on Friday (September 18) in the Kazirshimla area of the Dhaka–Mymensingh highway.
A Mahindra three-wheeler was reportedly parked beside the highway, while a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw was travelling towards Mymensingh. A United Paribahan bus approaching from the same direction first hit the parked Mahindra and then struck the auto-rickshaw.
Several passengers in the two vehicles were critically injured by the impact. Two died at the scene.
Local residents rescued the injured and sent them to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. All six injured people were reportedly passengers of the Mahindra and the auto-rickshaw.
