Gold Price Drops Sharply by Tk 4,374 per Bhori
Gold prices have been reduced again in Bangladesh. The price of 22-carat gold has been cut by Tk 4,374 per bhori. As a result, the VAT-inclusive price of one bhori of 22-carat gold jewellery has been set at Tk 231,880.
The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) said the new price took effect at 10 a.m. on Wednesday (September 2).
Previously, the price of one bhori of high-quality gold jewellery was reduced by Tk 7,115 on August 29. It was cut by a further Tk 4,374 on August 31. Together, the three reductions have lowered the price by a total of Tk 15,863 per bhori.
