Dhaka Concert to Honour Kabir Suman
A special concert will be held in Dhaka to honour the work of Bengali singer, songwriter and composer Kabir Suman.
The concert, titled *Hothat Rastay Office Anchale*, will take place at Butternote Jazz Cafe in Banani on October 2. The title comes from one of Kabir Suman’s songs.
Kabir Suman will not attend the event. His songs will be performed by three Bangladeshi singer-songwriters: Autumnal Moon, Rezaul Karim Limon and Nahid Hasan.
The organisers said the event would be different from a traditional cover show. The performers will present Suman’s songs in their own styles and share their personal interpretations of his music.
