Former Cantonment Police OC Rakibul Arrested in Sedition Case
Rakibul Hasan, the former officer-in-charge of Cantonment Police Station, has been formally arrested in a sedition case linked to a viral audio recording.
The Detective Branch of police arrested him on Thursday evening (September 24).
Rakibul had been in DB custody since September 17 after the audio recording spread on social media.
In the recording, a voice could be heard making comments about the government, police and other security forces.
