Price of One Bhori of Gold Falls by 2,158 Taka

Gold jewellery prices have been reduced again in Bangladesh. The price of one bhori of 22-carat gold has been cut by 2,158 taka, bringing the new price to 230,772 taka, including VAT.
The new price took effect at 10:00 am on Monday (September 28). The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) had previously reduced gold prices on Saturday (September 26).
The BAJUS Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring set the new rate at a meeting held at 9:00 am on Monday. The decision was later announced in a notice signed by the committee’s chairman, Dr Dewan Aminul Islam Shaheen.
On September 26, the price of one bhori of 22-carat gold was reduced by 1,691 taka. Following the two reductions, the price has fallen by a total of 3,849 taka.
