Nasiruddin Patwary’s Car Attacked at Lalon Akhra in Kushtia

An attack on the car of Nasiruddin Patwary, chief coordinator of the National Citizen Party (NCP), has been reported during his visit to Lalon Akhra in Cheuria, Kushtia. The incident took place at around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, 4 October.
Patwary and his companions entered Lalon Shah’s shrine at around 6:30 p.m. After touring the Akhra and listening to Lalon singers, they were leaving when a group of people allegedly attacked him near the main gate and vandalised his car parked outside.
As the situation became tense, several local people escorted Patwary back to the shrine grounds for safety. Police from Kumarkhali Police Station later arrived and rescued him and his companions.
The reason for the attack, the extent of the damage to the car, and the identities of those involved could not immediately be confirmed.
Earlier, Patwary had visited Rabindranath Tagore’s Kuthibari in Shilaidaha, Kumarkhali, before travelling to Lalon Shah’s Akhra.
