Jamaat Pledges 5 Million Taka to Restore RADDA Health Centre

Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Shafiqur Rahman has announced a donation of 5 million taka from the party’s fund to help restore the privately run RADDA MCH-FP Centre in Mirpur-1, Dhaka. The health centre was damaged by vandalism and looting.
Shafiqur Rahman, who is also the opposition leader in parliament, made the announcement while visiting the damaged facility on Monday afternoon (September 28).
He said the party would provide further assistance if needed to ensure healthcare services for local residents.
“If more support is needed to provide medical care to the people of this area, we will do whatever we can, Insha’Allah,” he said.
Those present included Jamaat central executive council member and Dhaka city secretary Dr Muhammad Rezaul Karim; central working committee member and city assistant secretary Mahfuzur Rahman; central Majlis-e-Shura member and city assistant secretary Dr Fakhruddin Manik; and central Majlis-e-Shura member and city publicity and media secretary Ataur Rahman Sarkar.
