51st Special BCS Circular Published Applications Open October 1

The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has published the circular for the 51st Special Bangladesh Civil Service examination to recruit 5,000 doctors for the Health Cadre.

Of the total positions, 4,700 are for assistant surgeons and 300 are for assistant dental surgeons.

The circular was published on the PSC website on Thursday afternoon.

Online applications will open at 10 am on October 1 and close at 6 pm on October 25.

Candidates must be between 21 and 32 years old as of September 1, 2026.

According to PSC sources, the special BCS will not include a lengthy written examination. Candidates will be selected through a 200-mark preliminary examination and a 100-mark skills-based oral examination.

The shorter process is expected to allow the PSC to publish the final results quickly. The selected doctors will then be posted to government hospitals at the upazila and union levels across the country.
